Card Access Systems

Card access systems are primarily used for security purposes and work with card or similar identification tools to provide access control. These systems consist of card readers and access control devices. Card access systems, especially in workplaces, apartments, and schools, allow only authorized individuals to access specific areas. Thus, security measures are enhanced, and unauthorized access is prevented. These systems record the entries and exits of users, increasing supervision and ensuring the safety of premises.

Institution managers can track which personnel is currently in specific areas through reports. Access control systems offer additional features, such as prioritizing entry to prevent exit (anti-passback) and limiting the number of personnel inside. These features can be analyzed and modularly applied according to the institution’s requirements, allowing identification of personnel at the relevant location during incidents.

Examples of how card access system reports can be used for security, access control, and monitoring:

  1. Access Reports: These reports show which cards were used at which points and when during a specific time frame. This information is a critical tool for tracking user movements for security purposes and intervening when necessary.
  2. Access Control Reports: These reports specify who has access to certain areas and when these permissions are valid. They help regulate access permissions by showing which areas users can enter.
  3. Time Reports: The card access system can report user movements during a specified time frame. These reports show who accessed the system, which areas they entered, and how long they stayed.
  4. Alarm Reports: The card access system can generate alarm notifications when certain events occur. These reports detail the alarm situations and when they occurred.
